Iowa Court and Legal Interpreter Orientation Workshops

This workshop is a pre-requisite to taking the Iowa Court Interpreter Written and Oral exams. For more information on the exams, click Important Information for Court Interpreters.

Spring 2008 Workshop (registration open)

The Spring workshop will be held May 3 & 10, 2008. Attendees must attend both days in order to receive credit for attending the Workshop. It will be held at 6 different sites across Iowa, via the Iowa Communications Network (ICN):

The workshop instructors will be located at the Des Moines site. A small group facilitator will be available at each location for oral or sign language interpreters (depending on the number of registrants at each site).

Cost

Registration for the workshop is $155.00, which includes workshop and materials. The full amount is due at the time of registration. IITA accepts checks, money orders, and the following credit cards: MasterCard and Visa. Pre-registration is required.

A special discounted registration fee of $100.00 is available for any interpreter who resides in a county where there are no interpreters on the Roster of Court Interpreters who speak/interpret the non-English language of the person registering for the workshop.

Confirmation

Registration confirmations for the fall workshop will be sent to all persons who register by April 28, 2008.

Cancellation/Re-scheduling Policy

A $35.00 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations on or before April 26. From April 27-May 2, a $50.00 cancellation fee applies. No refunds are available for no-shows or partial attendance. If you need to cancel your reservation, please e-mail us at info@iitanet.org. IITA reserves the right to cancel a site or the entire event if an insufficient number of registrations are received, in which case all affected participants would receive a full refund of their $155.00 fee.
