Any person who is professionally engaged in translating, interpreting, or closely related work; is a resident of Iowa or who maintains full-time employment as a translator or interpreter in the State of Iowa; and meets at least one of the Active Member Qualification criteria is eligible for Active Membership.

Active Member Rights

	Right to attend any IITA meeting
	Use of all of IITA's membership facilities
	Receive all of IITA's regular publications free or at reduced membership rates
	Right to vote for the Board of Directors
	Right to hold IITA office
	Right to serve on the IITA Board of Directors
	Right to serve on all IITA committees
	Right to chair any non-Board IITA committee
