Jeana Clark of Clark Translations, Inc. will teach how to join and use the
ProZ professional translator resource website.
This
site gives you access to thousands of translators and interpreters from all over
the world and all subject areas.
Since 1999, ProZ has been the website through which
today’s language professionals are able to meet new clients, collaborate
with other professionals, and expand their knowledge base. During this ProZ
workshop, Jeana Clark, who has been a member of ProZ for three years, will
introduce you to the numerous benefits of a full professional membership in
the ProZ community. This includes: the ability to create a personal profile
and/or website hosted and provided by ProZ for no additional fee, navigating
the KudoZ glossary (including tips on asking/answering KudoZ questions),
searching within the Blue Board (database of outsourcers with translator
feedback), and posting forum messages. This workshop will be held in a
computer lab, and Jeana will be on hand after the presentation to assist
those attendees interested in setting up their ProZ profile/website.
Additional training will be given for those members who
need help signing up for the IITA_List discussion listserve.
Registration required, as the workshop will be limited
to 30 participants. Cost is $5 for IITA members and $10 for non-members.
